561nm and 563nm-571nm laser modules for sale

I sent you the info in the PM.

    561nm 5mW

This is very interesting. I'm looking forward to hearing about the additional stuff on Friday. At this price range I would suspect there will be a bit of interest.

    Specific Diffusion Question

Do you mean reflection instead of diffraction? For the most part, for visible lasers, the danger is from power (and power density, irradiance) not wavelength. Aside from the obvious danger of a direct hit to the eye, the second danger is from specular reflections. The specular reflections...

Hello from a flashlight collector and reviewer

Welcome aboard! There is a decent amount of overlap between handheld lasers and flashlights. If you put a review here I would be interested to see it. I hadn't heard of LEP flashlights until now, seems interesting.

60th anniversary of the LASER's discovery!

Happy 60th anniversary Everybody! The first working LASER was first made by Theodore Maiman on May, 16th 1960. Today is also the International day of light. Link: A History of the Laser: 1960 - 2019 I also decided to have some fun and make a "cake". Turned out better than I expected, ;)

Mine arrived fine a few days ago. Thanks CDBEAM777 for running the GB.

    CLens GB #2 Interest_sign-up

Just sent the payment. I'm in no hurry to get them. So I don't mind waiting.

    successfully lase Pr YLF crystal

That is a very interesting project. It looks like a very solid setup. Thanks for sharing it. Why did you chose a V shaped cavity design? Just for ease of finding suitable optics or for another reason. Are there any other laserists near you with a laser power meter you could borrow?

    574nm 36 mW Yellow Laser

trinh hong phuoc: The crystal production for these lasers has had many setbacks. The only working modules anyone has gotten was the very first batch of maybe a dozen lasers. Given the previous delays there is no reason to believe they will find a working crystal design in the foreseeable future...

How many beams from a 1000 line/mm grating? FREE gratings to the first 6 posters*

Smallfreak, actual I was using the standard cheap plastic gratings. The second order for the 502nm for example is very faint (visually ~1% of the main laser strength)

How many beams from a 1000 line/mm grating? FREE gratings to the first 6 posters*

Sure. Just tested a few. Wavelengths that have three dots: 685nm, 660nm, 635nm, 532nm, 515nm, 502nm. Wavelengths that have five dots: 495nm, 475nm, 450nm, 405nm. At 515nm you get 4 dots if you hit the grating maybe 20 deg or more off of perpendicular. At 502nm you get 3 dots if perfectly...

    574nm 36 mW Yellow Laser

It might not be that wisest to increase the pump power at this point. Right now we don't know too much about how resilient these crystals are. Especially if those are from a new batch, then there would be no way of knowing if they can handle any increase in pump power without degrading without...

    574nm 36 mW Yellow Laser

That's great for you Grn05gt. The last I head from Freeman was Sep. 7th All he said was: I am just hoping we can get some good quality lasers before the 180 days for the paypal buyers protection "expires". Otherwise I'll have to ask for a refund and then pay them again.

    Returning member here

A while back, like maybe a year ago now, the rep system was re-adjusted (some of the parameters I think? I wasn't really paying attention). After that the rep points began a runaway inflation. It's nice to see you back.

Questions about diode and DPSS lasers

Like the others have just said, now we have cheap (relatively) diodes pretty much from 445nm to 520nm. Exact list for the blue-green diodes spectrum would be 450nm, 475nm, 488nm-493nm, 503nm-520nm. I assume the dpss lasers you are referring to are 473nm, 532nm, 589nm and 593nm. Although the...

Nice laser Pelagus. Beam shot pics are good. :D The 488-494 range diodes are such a pretty "argon ion" color.

    574nm 36 mW Yellow Laser

So I guess I can actually sort of answer my own question in my last post. Freeman did say that they should have both 565nm and 575nm in the first batch (in an message last week). Granted, most speculation doesn't matter much as the "facts" will likely change as time progresses.

    574nm 36 mW Yellow Laser

I would assume the first batch we get would be 575nm. But did Freeman, or anybody else, mention about if any of the first batch will be 565nm or if they will wait until a later time to make those? Although I guess at this point it matters very little as it doesn't feel like these will ever...
