I pulled this from a sony HD DVD player yesterday. I think I saw a thread about a similar diode a few weeks ago but I cannot find it . Whats the deal with the can being at an angle,Is it good for anything? and no I didnt smash it .

Thank you for your answer , next question is. I have a loc and a lcc (red) . From what I've read I think I can use either with this driver? (at 350ma) Also I have a few green pointers that I have taken apart . Could I use the heatsink from 1 of them with the lcc? The little sucker fits in there...

Did you ever figure out the pin order on these diodes ? I have several and I think I have figured our a way to use one using a 5mW green heatsink and a 3mW red from a cheap flashlite I just need the pin out order.
