Why not? size wise a single 18650 should fit just fine, just like it does in the Rifle 445nm.

I'm very surprised that you ordered a Sanyo battery and yet received a Panasonic battery instead. While Yes Panasonic bought Sanyo, they are still two different batteries. Many companies own more than one brand of a product, and those products stand on their own merits. I would not be happy...
