I have a 561nm chartreuse laser and a 593.5nm amber/orange laser. I'd love to get my mitts on a 577nm yellow, but things aren't looking great on at least two fronts here. :(

I'm already aware of the potential for short battery life because of my prior experience with 593.5nm SFDPSS laser technology; I'd be extremely interested to hear about the improvements when they come to fruition. (y)

I've been able to spectroscopically detect the 532nm and 671nm lines myself. :cool:

My sister just came in and asked what I got in the mail. I told her that I got some battery chargers (true) but I deliberately failed to mention the laser pointer. Phew!!! Dodged a bullet!!! 😱

Well, if I did that she'd very probably evict me and drop me off at the nursing home, and then I'd lose everything except a tablet computer and maybe a small flashlight. No more lasers or laser accessories. 😰

I'd love one, but my sister (whom I live with entirely for medical reasons would absolutely forbid it. Even the 593.5nm yellow laser pen that I'm expecting today is at risk of being confiscated and chucked into the dustbin (garbage can); I'm prepared to sacrifice this laser pen and the storage...

I remember getting a 593.5nm "amber yellow" laser in late-summer 2004 (09-16-04) and thinking that the color was the dog's bollocks. :cool: I got a 561nm chartreuse (very yellowish-green) laser on 08-03-23 and am still somewhat floored by the color. :love:

Hey, that's kind of what I figured. I removed all references to "591nm" on the web page I'm constructing for this laser so that I do not inadvertently add to any potential confusion. :cool:
