    (ORDER IN!) GB: Laserglow Pointers!

This is interesting, I wonder who uploaded it... ;) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r0Xz8ohQnBE EDIT: Embedded below. Thanks Helios.

    (ORDER IN!) GB: Laserglow Pointers!

Re: (CLOSED / TAKING PAYMENTS) GB: Laserglow Pointers! You can't see it in that photo but if you look closely you can see the individual hatch marks the YAG engraver made. Here is a close up.

    (ORDER IN!) GB: Laserglow Pointers!

Re: (CLOSED / TAKING PAYMENTS) GB: Laserglow Pointers! Just engraved the test laser (a broken Lyra) and it's looking VERY nice. ;)

    TEA Nitrogen laser problems (homemade)

There are a couple of design considerations when building a TEA nitrogen laser that you may or may not have taken into account. Because you're operating at atmospheric pressure, the entire lasing process, from the start of the dischage to the last photon being emitted, takes less than 5...

    (ORDER IN!) GB: Laserglow Pointers!

Re: GB: Laserglow Pointers (LPF anniversary engraving available!) You haven't heard from Justin because he's on vacation :D The Rigel grading system works like this: The laser is tested for 60 seconds. The average output power for that duration is taken and the standard deviation (a function...

    (ORDER IN!) GB: Laserglow Pointers!

Re: GB: Laserglow Pointers (LPF anniversary engraving available!) Actually now we use a YAG engraver. It makes much sharper engravings. :D

    NOVA Lasers questions.

There should be a serial number inside the aperture cap. If it was sold from nova within the last couple years I should be able to let you know a bit more about it.

    Sold

Re: Nova laser 125 What's the serial number? Should be inside the battery tube and/or the paperwork the laser came with.

    HeNe tube question

james is spot on. You can beat them to death with high voltage or high current, but they won't last long on AC or backwards DC. EDIT: At least they won't last long as a laser. The electrical discharge will always remain quite pretty, though.

    Hello.

You don't want cheap safety goggles. You want safe safety goggles. Shop around if you want, but I personally would never trust my eyesight to cheap goggles. Try to get ANSI or CE certified goggles. And I wouldn't recommend WL goggles, I don't trust them at all.

Can I point other lasers at my HeNe?

Shining laser light through a HeNe tube might cause power instabilities in the HeNe laser itself, but is otherwise harmless. I wouldn't shine your 1.4W 445nm laser though it, though. That seems like you're just asking for trouble. I don't know how the HeNe optics behave at that wavelength but if...

Review of the Yellow DPSS Laser Pointer

Very cool. Inside the front aperture cap there should be a serial number. If it was sold from us after September 2009 I should be able to find out some details on it.

I want to buy a blue laser...

Getting a 1W blue as your first laser is absolutely not a good idea at all. A 1W laser will ruin your eyes much, much faster than a few mW of IR.

    cnioptics

CNI probably doesn't use paypal because paypal is a complete ***** to work with as a retailer. I used to work with someone who used to offer paypal on his website but removed the option after being screwed on dozens of sales. Also, here at Laserglow we would be more than willing to sell you any...

Review of the Yellow DPSS Laser Pointer

Looks just like a Laserglow Rigel Laserglow Technologies - Handheld Lasers, Alignment Lasers and Lab / OEM Lasers On the danger label, in the small print at the bottom, it should say who made it. If it's not ours, it's definitely made by CNI.

    Heat sink cooling?

My degree in Photonics Engineering. We did an experiment on a 35 watt Lumonics CO2 laser which had two tubes in a folded cavity arrangement. It was cooled by flowing tap water through the tubes and into the drain (wasteful, I know). It was February at the time and so the tap water was extremely...

    Heat sink cooling?

CO2 lasers are especially sensitive to temperature. A few degrees can mean the difference between 20W and 200mW. The cooler you can keep it (without forming condensation, of course), the better.

LASERGLOW finally started to sell 447nm lasers

You're free to do what you want with them, but if I see one returned to us in pieces I'll know who did it!

LASERGLOW finally started to sell 447nm lasers

I don't think I'm at liberty to discuss that. Intellectual property, trade secrets and whatnot.
