I second that. The 150mw that I have is extremely reliable with an average output of 158mw. You won't be disappointed with the quality and power of either the 100mw or the 120mw premium pens from optotronics.

If this helps, I own both the CNI and the Opto 150. Side by side, they have approximately the same beam diameter (1mm)

I've been wondering about that as well. Are the beam diameters of the o-like modules similar to those from optotronics? What about the divergence and burning ability compared with a CNI?

It is very hard to tell without access to a laser power meter. However, above 15mw, you should be able to barely make out a beam in a lit room at night.
