I just tried burning a magazine like the one in yobresal's video. It ignited pretty quickly. It also seems to depend on the thickness and type of paper the magazine uses. I've also been able to ignite candles with my 445nm laser. It's surprisingly powerful for a laser of this size.

What's the criteria for "higher efficiency" 12x diodes? Mine does 600mW at 425mA. Does that count?

This is great news. At first, I was afraid that setting my 12x to 600mw was too risky. Now, the data seems to show that it's safe so far. Lets hope that the diode will make it to at least 50hrs.

I've increased the current on mine from 330mA to 400mA. It is now 500mW. Please update the chart when you get the chance.

You won't be dissappointed. I currently own an opto 150, and it'll blow your 5mw core out of the water in terms of visibility, and burning power. Just be careful where you point it. It should peak around 170-180mw and average 150-160mw.
