    (SOLD) Optotronics 150mw Pen

Re: FS: Optotronics 150mw Pen I haven't seen a single review or LPM measurements for bayarealasers. I don't even know if it's IR filtered. For all you know it might just peak at 100mw. The laser I'm selling is 158mw average with a peak in the 180's. You get what you pay for. For the price, it...

Dual MicroBoost driven Skyray build, 1.8A.

Re: Dual driver Skyray So is the current at the diode 1800mA when using 2 micoboosts?

    445nm vs 532nm brightness comparison.

1.1 Watts of 445nm is about the same brightness to me as a 250-300mW Green at night. During the day, it looks the same as a 150mW green.

1.6W Peak 445nm SS 18650 Jayrob host W/'custom 'Hot' option' heatsink on driver

Wow, that's impressive. What current did you set the diode to? Or did you just max out the flexdrive?

FS: jayrob 1.1Watt 445nm 18650 build with Copper Heatsink (SOLD)

Re: FS: jayrob 1.1Watt 445nm 18650 build with Copper Heatsink Jayrob was out of his normal 18650 host when I bought it from him. He gave me the DIY green host, which is internally identical to the 18650 host. I'll post a picture of the dot when I get the chance. I was going to wait until aixiz...

FS: jayrob 1.1Watt 445nm 18650 build with Copper Heatsink (SOLD)

UPDATE: The Laser Has Been Sold. Up for sale is a custom build I did using jayrob's 18650 kit. I'm selling it because I need the funds to build another. Asking price is $275 with the 405-G-1 lens. I can switch the lens out with an aixiz acrylic for a discounted price of $225. I recommend duty...

    My jayrob 18650 445nm Laser

To ignite paper, there are several things to be aware of. 1. the type of paper makes a big difference. Try different kinds. I used the ads that came with the sunday newspaper. 2. Focus the dot to a point. At 1.1 Watts, that's basically all you need to get it to ignite.

Scored a 4 on my first try. It's funny since I used my laptop monitor.

    My jayrob 18650 445nm Laser

Hey, I just wanted to post a few pictures of my new 445nm build. I used a jayrob DIY green 18650 host with a copper heatsink and microboost drive. The current is around 1000mA, and the output was measured to be 1.1 Watts. I'm very happy with this build and thanks to jayrob for making such an...

    List of 445nm diodes

Add me to the list. Diode Source: A130 Driver: Microboost Drive Current: 1000mA Output: 1100mW (measured on my physics professor's LPM) Host/Heatsinking: jayrob 18650 kit with copper heatsink Lifetime: <10hours

445LD with Anamorphic Prisms on a Jayrob DIY

Nice looking build. Mine looks almost identical except without the prisms. It's also set to the same current and has about the same output. Good luck in getting better optics to reduce the transmission loss.

Merged 445nm Pictures and Video Thread

If this helps, the output of my 445nm build is 1100mw. I just had it tested today. I didn't really use a test load to adjust the current since I just maxed out the pentiometer on the microboost. I think the current is somewhere around 1 amp. I'll post some pictures and videos when I get the...

Merged 445nm Pictures and Video Thread

For candles, it really helps if you use one that has already been lit before. I think the proper term would be "re-lighting" the candle with the laser. I have yet to light one that hasn't been pre-lit.

    Drivers for 445

I had a quick question about the quality of different batteries for use with 445nm lasers. I have an LG 18650 battery, and if I leave the laser on for long enough, the driver begins to pulse. I'm using a microboost set to 1 amp of current. Funny thing is the battery reads 3.95V on a DMM so it...
