Re: USB Portable Powerful Custom LPM
Gotta agree with RHD on that 12W rating. TEC's produce a potential voltage based on the temperature difference of the two sides, as the heat sink rises in temperature up the readings will skew.
They will be shipping around early June.
@H2O
Here's some more info on the shroud, the head has a back plate and a front plate, the front plate protects the sensor area, similar to how an Ophir head works.
@joeybab
The price will be around $150 give or take.
All thermal LPM's (even professional ones) perform poorly at lower powers. (0mW - 20mW)
That being said, these perform pretty much the same at low powers.
They do have additional shrouding around the sensor area to help prevent environment caused errors.
It's a different method of generating the green wavelengths.
The cheap green laser pointers are DPSSLs which use IR diodes to pump crystals whereas green laser diodes directly emit green light.
Providing another link to the B/S/T rules in this section:

I banned you for 24h because you created multiple B/S/T threads without reading the rules.
The ban was a message to you to read the rules for creating a B/S/T thread, which you clearly have still not done...
It is a significant difference. It depends on the mirror, but in my experience it's around a 20-25% loss.
If your using a specific wavelength I recommend using dichroic mirrors, they reflect better than broadband mirrors.
