    laser gun

That's interesting, I'll look into it. If you happen to know a link to one of these lasers could you please post it?

    laser gun

Oh I should add, I was considering energy storage, heat sinks, lasers, everything in hand. An actual hand held gun, if it's not all in hand then maybe it's possible? From my experiments and calculations, I still think it wouldn't be possible. If anyone has a huge parabolic mirror/dish lying...

    laser gun

Yes, that honeycomb idea was what I had in mind. I did some experiments with high powered lasers and my hand, and did some order of magnitude calculations. I considered a theoretical honeycomb array of about 30cm diameter packed with 3W diodes , I also considered just one powerful pulse of...

    laser gun

Hey guys :) I'm wondering about the theoretical possibility of making a laser gun. Does anybody know what kind of power density you need to burn a hole in meat? I have some hundred mW lasers, but clearly they don't work even if focussed, what would work? john

WTS Skylasers 150 mW green laser parts

I would like to purchase, I'll send you a pm/email.

    Cheap visible beam

Thanks for the comments, dipping highlighters into water and spraying turned out awful, you cannot see the fluorescence unless you are wearing protective goggles that block out the 405nm light, then you can see a slight coloured beam. The reflection of the 405nm light overpowers the weaker...

    Cheap visible beam

G'day mates, I had a friend inquire about the possibility of using some kind of cheap laser system to produce some fairly visible beams of laser light for an art project. This got me thinking, I have a PHR-803t laser 100mW 405nm and although it's beam isn't very visible, if a florescent liquid...

    Homemade phr lasers

Sorry about not being clear, you're both correct Morgan and thebucketmouse :) I have also built a laser from an LPC-815 sled, well actually I've made quite a few lasers from the PHR and LPC diodes, but I've only posted the two PHR builds because they were the most interesting. I've made VI...

    Homemade phr lasers

G’day all, I thought I’d share some pics on two homemade lasers I made. I purchased a phr-803T sled and harvested out the 405nm and red diode, I placed the UV diode into an aixiz module and put the red into half an aixiz module. I must say, the UV laser was so much brighter than I expected it...
