Testing of the New 650nm/660nm 5W Diode.!

Are these latest pictures showing raw output or with the 50mm lens?

Feasability of Star Trek V/VI Starfleet Assault Phaser Mod

The Playmates Assault Phaser is definitely easier to convert. I was the first to do this as far as I know. I built mine with an A130 running dual Flexdrives at 1.8amps back then. The Phaser already has a AA size battery holder (AW IMR14500). I am thinking of doing a new build with the new 9mm...

Star trek phaser laser set *for sale

I got this one from DTR with a diode purchase. I extracted it carefully from the housing and placed it in the extended shiny brass housing which i also got from DTR. I dont have a picture, but it was only used for about a minute or less and I decided for my purpose I needed a tighter beam for...

Star trek phaser laser set *for sale

Thanks for the complements. Yeah Im not really interested in selling them seperate. It's a package deal unless someone is really interested and offers the right price. The sale is for best offer. I am about 20 miles from Atlantic City.

Star trek phaser laser set *for sale

AFTER LONG CONSIDERATION I HAVE DECIDED TO PART WITH THIS AWESOME COLLECTION OF CUSTOM STAR TREK PHASER LASER CONVERSIONS. I AM INCLUDING EVERYTHING SHOWN WHICH INCLUDES: (1)STAR TREK THE MOTION PICTURE PHASER: -9MM 45Onm diode(looks noticably bluer than the M140) -Dual-Flexdrive V5's...

Build thread: 4.4W 445nm dual diode laser

Re: Build thread: Worlds most powerful handheld 4.4W 445nm Again, Great Job. Absolutely Phenominal!!! You have inspired me to go ahead with my plans on doing a multi-diode setup for sure now. One more question: Does/did doing this require one or two wave plates? (one for each diode?)

Build thread: 4.4W 445nm dual diode laser

Re: Build: 4W 445nm handheld (WIP) That is very impressive work. I know that could not have been easy. Great job! I have a question regarding the use of a waveplate. I thought that if you orient the diodes perpendicular to one another, then they would merge as one line? If not, then what is...

    Star Trek Phasers

Nice job. I like the unique heatsinking that you did. The external battery pack is an idea that I had been thinking about also to solve the problem of room for powering an F-mount 10Watt diode in one of these babies. Maybe one of these days if my budget allows.

Super efficient 445 diode from DTR

The G2 lens I got from DTR fit fine in my Aixiz copper from Survival Lasers. FYI.

    Star Trek Classic Phaser 12x Blu-Ray 800+mW

Yeah...you would not be able to fit all that into either one of these housings. With the assault Phaser I did contemplate knife edging a couple of 445's. I think I'll wait for the 4Watt diodes instead.

Has anyone put a 445nm diode into a Star Trek 2009 phaser?

I have done one with 650nm. The driver is no problem The issue is the original battery holder is for AAA's. You can't get enough current out of that size for a powerful 445nm. You could remove the battery tray which would probably allow enough room for a couple of AA(14500)'s. I have considered...

    Star Trek Classic Phaser 12x Blu-Ray 800+mW

Thanks Jay. No, It's the Plastic one from Playmates. The other one is made by Master replicas and is Metal. The Playmates version is easier to convert. The "clip" is AA sized where as the other has three AAA length wise(like a flashlight) in series. It is very nice though. Someone has built one...

    Star Trek Classic Phaser 12x Blu-Ray 800+mW

No. That is an assault Phaser. I built that also. I was the 1st to do so as far as I know with the Playmates version.

    Star Trek Classic Phaser 12x Blu-Ray 800+mW

Hello everyone. Here is another Phaser I've been working on. This one is a bit different than previous builds I've done. It has a sound module from a Next generation type I Phaser. Both were made by Playmates. This build features a custom metallic paint job, LED power on indicator, BDR06J Diode...

Having same problem running Windows 7 w/IE 8. No issue with XP IE 7 computers.

I need help with my 1.9W 445! Please!

I doubt that it's the drivers. They generally don't require heat sinking below 1000mA Since this is dual set up; they would each be set to 900mA.

    Long distance burning - Question

My 405nm 12x at Apprx. 800mW would pop a Ballon at around 30' while my 1.8W 445nm would not. They were about even in burning ability at around 5' but I'd say that the 445nm had an advantage at close range.

It is Here.!!!!! 300mW "635nm" Mitsubishi.....

Has anyone tried lighting a match or burning anything with this one yet?
