I still have my OLD Dragon Laser 90 mW.
She is at least 10 years old with peeling paint.
I've carried it since new, dropped it several times
and it still pops balloons !!!!!! Tough old girl.....

Shine a small laser onto a frozen, frosted window and see
what the ice crystals do. Just like a personal sun dog.
The Ice crystals form a nice ring around the spot.
This works up north here!

That's what I thought. Maybe a small drill hole at a rear corner and
pry up. Heat was my last choice. I have one with the fiber output
burned up -- my mistake :-( The bar was good and maybe I can
side pump a small NdYAG rod !! Thanks HM
It came off easier than a soup can lid !! Thanks
Matt --- I just happen to have a small Peltier cooler.
It is about 9 mm square and three 3mm thick.
I painted the hot side flat black and read 5 mV with a
100 mW green and 20 mV with a 400 mW.
If you are testing lower power, this might work. Just add a
heat sink on the back! I'll send it...
Many years ago at LPM, 100 mW Reds were becoming available.
All we had was a LED and viol meter. Not calibrated but gave some
indication of power.
You might try a small diode cooling module. Paint one side flat black.
