    Decrease lasers power

Sure it is. I have lenses like that. They are referred to as "safety" or "training" lenses. They on average emit ~ 20% of the lasers output. I can post a picture of the lens if you want to see one of them.

    Wicked Laser host?

Where the heck are you coming up with "impossible" Re-read my post. I did not say it was impossible, nor did I imply that it is. If you have worked on and/or programmed lathes, mills and machining centers you will immediately see that none of those hosts are a simple lathe operation host.

I'm a noob - how dangerous are these lasers I just got?

They are both over 5mW so they do have the potential to harm eyes if used incorrectly.

How legal are Class 4 laser pointers?

I have a stable of class IV handheld lasers and have never had a single run in with the authorities. I do like your idea of having a cheap laser on you and if you ever are stopped. You pocket the good laser and give up the cheap laser. Would break my heart to hand over one of my 1100mW 532nm or...

    Wicked Laser host?

He would have to do some serious setups to replicate the Evo, E2 or Spyder series lasers.

    Reputation System Discussion and Poll

Re: Poll: Spreading the love .... NOT!!!!! I would like to see the original(old) system back in place with the 2 to 1 ratio as that makes it easier to REP+ members when they help out a fellow member, share pictures of a nice build or beam shots or post some great and helpful information. I do...

When is it acceptable to not wear glasses indoors?

Where eye sight is concerned the wise guy remarks are not appreciated or needed my friend. I know ALL of the information that the members posted above but I just read it AGAIN because my eyesight is so worth it and it is good to bubble that knowledge back up to the surface again!! Too many...

When is it acceptable to not wear glasses indoors?

I have been around Arctic lasers for a long time along with other lasers. I would never and I do not fire up a class IV laser in a room as small as 10x10 as the terminating dot is way too bright. Even in low power the Arctic is still ~ 250mW The only truly safe way is using a beam dump or...

    Howdy!

Hi MikeSD  Welcome to the forum. Dang, only $6 on night vision?!? There is an over abundance of darn coyotes around here and the night vision scope I would love to get is almost $4000 :(

    Overboosted 5mw laser?

It probably has no heat sink or a very skimpy one. If there is room you can replace it or add on a beefy copper heat sink.

    Hi from Australia

Hi Tassie  Welcome to the forum :) For piece of mind/safety I would not charge them for more than 7 hours or overnight though. Most chargers are done in 2 to 3 hours max.

    Well Hello

Hi binarycode  Welcome back :) That is great to see that you are sober and I hope you are able to keep that monkey off your back. Never feel afraid to ask for help. That is a sign of strength, not weakness and don't let anybody or society ever tell you any different! :gj:
