    Laser Pointer power

You cant assume the power of a laser diode without using a LPM.

WOW! Amazing! where did you find that projector? How much does it worth?

Some ir laser research, need help

Just be careful not to shine that 1W 808nm in to someones eyes :)

    2W 808nm c-mount driver

Read this: https://www.fairchildsemi.com/ds/LM/LM350.pdf Always use a dummy load when doing first tests. Voltage should be around 2.2v(max). I haven't read the datasheet, but you should. Voltage can kill your diode instantly,so be careful. Find out if the voltage is adjustable.

Needing help on a laser projector

There is no way of helping if you don't know basic electronics and soldering. Do some research, learn the basics, then poke around with lasers :)

What to use for a laser cutter

Different materials absorb different wavelength. You cant easily cut white paper with lets say 650nm. You will need a lot of power to achieve fast cutting. While the CO2 laser(1090nm) can cut white paper like its nothing.

    burning laser help.

Not easily. You will need to slow down your CNC quite a lot. I would suggest something like 500mW or 1W. Better get a 1W diode and then adjust its output. If you are new to lasers, better get a laser diode from a DVD/CD burner. It has a IR diode and RED diode. If im correct, something like...

    burning laser help.

You need to learn that different materials absorb different wavelengths. You will need a very powerful laser diode. I would suggest buying a CO2 laser tube. Diodes are very expensive, and very hard to work with(the high power ones). For start,i would use a 450nm high power laser diode...

    Noob enthusiast requests enlightenment...

Eyes are more sensitive to green light,so i would say green is more visible. You should make a new thread. Now you know a bit more, but if you still have questions, make a thread. :)

They are so cute man :( Just saying i wouldn't shoot them. You can do what ever you like. Those modules are great. If this would be your first laser, you are on the right path. I sill still recommend protection glasses. One bad move is all it takes to damage your eyes.

I have no idea :) 30-40yds is quite far. Better question would be...can you see a dot that far? :D I think someone else should answer this question, cause i have no idea. Also, shooting squirrels ? Not cool bro.

Welcome to the forums JWJSR :) I would suggest something over 80mW. A 100mW greenie will do the job. They can be expensive, depends on quality. They are also dangerous,so be careful. Cheap ones dont have IR filtering,so they can damage your eyes. You should always have a pair of protection goggles...

Some lasers are case positive. Just unsolder the wires, and solder them the other way. Not really much going on there. Also,be careful, you can damage the laser by reversing its polarity. :)

What to use for a laser cutter

I'm not sure what power will suit your application, but you will need at least 300mW. I would use a 1W 808nm diode. Infra Red light is dangerous,so be careful.

    Safety of ~5mW line laser

Any type of laser beam is bad for eyes. Eyes aren't used to see a single spectrum light. Exposing your eyes to a 5mW laser beam will not damaged them instantly, but after a couple of years you will feel the consequences. I cant tell you more, cause my friend has a friend that studies lasers and...

    Presstek 40W IR diode

Yes,foil, the one that is used to connect batteries in series :D Also,i would like to mention, the first way i tried to power the diode was with batteries! I took a 12v battery that was used to power some handheld drill, and found out that it used 10x1.2v single batteries connected in series...

Help with TTL modulation Driver design

So if i understand correctly, you want to drive a laser and motors with a TTL driver stated above? And the TTL signal will be coimng form Ramps? Don't get me wrong, english is not my home language,so i might not understand fully.
