It's just borderline depressing how poorly this is working out.

I don't have a DMM. I don't even know what that is. I think I'm going to say fuck it and just get a bunch of CR2032s and rig them individually. I've already wasted so much time and money and I just want it to work. I'm super frustrated.

3 leds are quite dim.

220 resisters and 4 leds. 4 AA's will not power it.

We have talked about how el wire doesn't come in uv. Also I have already bought the leds and the resistors.

Ok, I got started on it some Monday. If 4 regular AA's won't power 4 leds then will the lithium batteries actually work?

I could be alright with anything up to 24 awg. That's still pretty slim. I just don't even know that 30 ft would be enough.

I honestly think it won't be easy to find enough scrap wire for this. I know I'll end up having to buy some for sure. I'd rather just buy a spool of something like 50+ yards.

I doubt that I will have too much luck with that. Not that I'm afraid of dumpster diving. Just that my town is so bs small that I don't know how much luck I would have at it. I'll def give it a shot. At least the checking with repair shops bit. I'll see what I can come up with and ask for help...

Would these be ideal resistors? Amazon.com: KOA Speer 200 ohm 100ppm Thru-Hole Resistor Metal Film 1/4W 1% MF14D-F (Bag of 25): Industrial & Scientific Ugh, jk. The shipping was like ten dollars. F that. But are they the right sort of resistors?

Great tips. Though I have to admit, has me a little confused. If 4 14500 Li-Ion batteries will theoretically power the whole thing (all 100+ leds), why would it matter how many are in a series?

I had thought about assembling everything and saving the sewing for last but if the soldering cools that fast I really can't see a reason not to solder and sew as I go.

It will probably melt if anything. I'm sewing multiple layers and the leds will be on one of the inner layers so should there be any melting, it probably won't be too noticeable. How long does it take solder to cool?
