Very bad idea. If you use that diode, your house will be on fire and you will be blind in about ten seconds. Go back and do a search on safety, and the dangers of a NUBM44 diode.

Welcome to the forums. Your best bet is to read the sticky for each forum, that way you will be up on everything that's going on. Best of luck and always remember safety first.
+ rep if I can.

I was able to replicate what your dealing with, the spring is catching on the notch of the G2 barrel. just put some leather around the G2 and unscrew it. It's the only way. Make sure to blow out the module as there will be bits of spring and lens barrel. Always remember a G2 goes in lens first...
Get a Bic for fire starting fires and an eye safe (<5mw) for pointing. As for the fire starting, get some cotton balls and tie 6 or so into a ball and dip into melted wax. They will start a fire in the worst of conditions.

Just got into this and I am hooked. I have a motor that can hit .5 rpm but if I run it at a lower voltage it gets jumpy, My question is , if I put a cap across the motor terminals would this smooth things out?
Thanks

Shoot them an email, they don't list everything they sell on the website.
I had problems with registering so I emailed them about it and they fixed it the next day and sent an email thanking me for bringing it to their attention.
