Most of the new heatsinks are a very fine machine-finish, the hosts shown above are gloss, except for the MXDL, which is the original surface-finish. Hmm ::)?

Yeah, I was trying for "lightning", but I have the "base-fade" down. Unfortunatly, the barrels did not take the black-dye well, so all of Saturday's-batch will need to be redone tonight, (including your barrels), so I will get another chance with this one. Practice makes perfect ;)

I can't think of many things that would cut it faster. My machine-shop uses a "Laser-Cutting Shop" to cut some 1/4"-thick SS-parts for brackets on a Harley-Davidson that we make, using a 400W CO2. It cuts faster and better than a water-jet, and way faster than a conventional "rotary-tool"...

I think that would work great, maybe use "clear" as a base?

We are talking international, so I doubt signatures would help a whole lot, which goverment would you petition? But maybe just registering as an organization with members that are devoted to the positive promotion of lasers, maybe some community-education, and of course, saftey-education...

That is correct, but a larger o-ring is still included for use if desired, I like having it there still. The "slots" are still there too, just not all the way through, more mass, better driver support.
