Yeah, ok, sounds good!
How do you respond to something like this:
I had a "30mW laser" took the driver out of it to power a "80-100mW" laser. The new laser definitely looks way brighter, but is it really? Same driver, same voltage, means it is pushing the diode the same amount? Check out...
So this was my first "build" and I put build in quotes because I didn't really put every bit together. Started off by ordering a 30mW disco laser from eBay. I saw a review of it on here somewhere, but it's the one that is in a little case, you can flip a side switch and it makes a mirror come...
I have already built a 1watt 445 with that driver, yes. But I guess what I wanted to learn from this post is more information about drivers, and how I determine the differences between the same driver and different wavelength laser diodes.
For example, I know that, that driver was best for a...
Hey all,
I remember seeing somewhere, someone or maybe a lot of people had a type of estimate for setting their driver "flex drive" or buying specific drivers to power specific mW diodes. Someone had an estimate for how many mA you want to power a certain amount of mW. Sorry, even a link will...
I'm going to wait just a couple more days... I mean look at all the work he put into his post, and then people were helping him with the sale, by telling him to change pics etc. and he did. Do you really think he did all this just to scam us? I don't know, I hope he's going to come through...
I made payment on March 20th, still haven't heard anything back about if the laser has shipped.
What do the rest of you think? It is appropriate to complain a little bit at this point...right!?
Re: PackRat sale
Hey, I'll take the two mixed lots, diode press tool, and the green laser guts...that is if they are still available. Let me know, thanks a lot! Oh yeah, this is all going to 48187, MI, in the USA.
Hit me up, PM sent.
When you say a pic of the output, do you mean the milliwatt on a laserbee? Or do you mean, just a pic of the beam/dot , any good ideas on how to get the dot to show up ok on camera? It would just wash out the entire image with the brightness.
So I have this setup here:
This laser is an 18650 host, with a monster heatsink (aluminum) The finish is black, and the beam is blue (445nm).
The diode is the xj-a140 (I purchased it from dtr) and the diode is housed in an aixiz focusable housing+a 445nm glass AR-coated lense.
Another note...
