Free sample of 405nm UV diodes

You do not need a driver for a LED, a resistor will work fine if you are using 12 volts as the supply a 200-300 ohm resistor is all you will need. From Nichia

    Ophir 40w-oema-tr2

I'm taking a stab in the dark here but since it's 12v negative and 12v positive that is a difference of 24 volts so wouldn't that be enough to cover 20W at 1mv=1mW

    GB: 1W 520nm diode information/giveaway

I believe 12 and 13 are my spots now

    Hater :p

    Am I missing something here?

Before mailing it off did you contact them and tell them you were returning the laser and maybe get some kind of RMA number to put on the outside of the package so it goes to the right department on floor 4  I believe your package should have looked something like this>

    Meierlight 1500mw 532 analog

I am down for two units for sure and in no hurry so take all the time you need :D You could start a new thread with 532/650/638 in the title  or just change this title.

KW of laser required to cut through a giant redwood tree in one second?

From a cracker jack box

Garage door motor unit courtesy light upgrade

I just checked and a SST50 takes up to 5000mA and is a 8000K color lamp, that is kinda blue almost isn't it ? and 5000mA is a tough go for most of our LD drivers so I would suggest a driver made for the SST50 then. If you wanted to drive it to 4000mA then a P3 driver could do that for you. BTW...

    Meierlight 1500mw 532 analog

OK you have my attention now and yes I would be interested in one of these but it has to be ANALOG modulation for me, Thanks for doing this Jeff, Your the MAN

    done, bought

Re: WTB: laser stuff ($57.81 exact) You can probably find a good pen laser in any of them colors for that price but don't expect to get that kind of power for that amount of funds.

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please Like I need one more thing to do myself, but I could not pass up more laser projectors that I can mod into something new :D I'll let you know Hak. Thanks Spaz for finding this sale +5 when I can...

Game: Guess the mystery object !

A doubly terminated crystal of Lithium

Lithium Ion equivalent for AA and AAA

At some point you will want a laser that has some staying power so you will probably want a couple 18650 cells also. And never buy the protected cells they are more trouble than they are worth just stay on top of charging them and you will not have any problems.

    help me fix my laser!!

It rather looks like one of the diode pins has come off the diode if that is the case there is a 99.2% chance that you can not solder it back on and you will need a new laser diode.

BTW I don't know if you ever went to a Firework display at Grand Coulee dam but I did a few of them off the top of it many years ago :D

Anyone have the need for, and ability to scope, a 5A buck driver?

Well I have done a few I would be happy to help you out ;) Will my Tektronix TDS2012C work for what you want ? It works on the other drivers I suspect it will work on yours. I also have a signal gen in case you want a modulation check.

    power supply

So did you say you do not have any laser diodes yet ? I'll send you a red one if you want to build it into something to get started ;)
  19. Flaminpyro

    power supply

You sound serious about this if your thinking of getting a bench power supply, there will be a couple other pieces of test equipment you will need if your going to be doing this as a hobbie on a regular basis and those would be a test load for setting the current on settable drivers, you will...
