ok interesting. I came across this video in which lazereer did a murder test for the 9mm diodes: 9mm 445nm diode Murder Test (MAX Currant POP.!!!) - YouTube it looks like the diode die at around 2.8-3A while being chilled as shown in the video. it also begins to dim at 2.43A.

well it will be driven at 2.2A. not sure how often i will use it. haven't decided on the host but it will have a good heat sink. I suppose i just wanted to know from other forums members if their diode has died at 2.2A over a short period of time.

yes i did try measuring the voltage of the driver with no load connected on its output. yes it is a switching driver, which i say switch i mean a buck regulator. I ran several buck regulators on their own with no load attached in the past to measure the ripple voltage at the output. I see no...
