Yup, you should just have to connect the wires, and lock the module into the heat sink. Be sure you heat shrink your wire connections so they don't short out inside the host. The flashlight came with spacers so 18650 batteries will work as well.

Well.....with an AW the max discharge rate is 10A, so that's a whopping 42.5W!! Alternatively, if you're referring to your laser diode's output, the different combination of batteries should not change the output if it has a proper driver.

All my lasers are under driven. That's why they still work :D

Nope. Even a 1W could light a cigarette. I can even light cigarettes with 250mW 650nm Speaking of which, I have not had a cigarette in 10 days. Chantix is pretty awesome medicine.
