Did some testing with the first version today. Changed a few things on the board, have to wait again now for the new version.... Then prob another new version .....THEN I can make a bunch.

I think if I get my driver working and ready to produce i can move these 501B's no problem. Producing the driver on my own, I can make it for a couple dollars a piece, and then sell 501 kits for like $20 just needing a module and battery.

It definitely has me thinking twice about how much inventory I purchase. I dont want to buy a ton of stuff and never be able to move it all. For now I'm just going to stick with what I have (and have on it's way) until i recoup some of my costs and don't feel as skittish

It's just a contact for the battery. For some reason, some hosts have them, and some don't. They're just black plastic rings that are press fit in. You can put something in the battery tube and pop it out of the top.

It went out this morning. The fact that only 30-some people voted is a sad realization that this hobby has significantly slowed to a crawl. There isnt nearly as much activity as there use to be.

Yeah, the lens is glass. Some are too tight to unscrew with your fingers.

It's funny though, I keep a loaded 9mm not to protect against intruders or criminals, but because I know how stupid people are, and I know they have guns as well. I see myself more likely of shooting an NRA gun nut than someone trying to rob me.

Re: Building a laser. Then giving it away. Kit will be made with a 1.25A benboost mini v5 driver. So it will take a single 18650 battery. Diode is an A140 diode in a 12mm copper module.
