none of the beams actually look rectangle. When focused, they're all round. I'm assuming they're referring to the raw output that comes from the diode. When shined on a wall it will be rectangular

Careful unscrewing the barrel from the head. The driver pill can spin on it's own from it, and you could end up with twisted wires.

You can try sticking a dry qtip on teh window and spinning it a bit to see if you get a clean output. I've done it before. I'm fairly sure these windows have an AR coating or something on them that seems to get messed up when you smear a qtip across them. You should never touch the diode window...

Once you press the driver and brass ring into the driver pill it's not easy to take it out, you have to stick something into the small hole on top and force it out, which a lot of times will end up crushing some components on the driver. Silicone wire would of prevented this (unless it was...

I'd say just build one. A pressure switch is essentially just a momentary switch inside some shrink tubing. You probably won't find a pressure switch that has 6-8 foot of wire so your only option is to make one yourself, or buy a pressure switch and add some more wire to it...
