    FS:all sold--M140 445nm diodes

    Re: FS:price drop--M140 445nm diodes Costs about $60 to build a >1W. $70 for a 1.8W You can build a 3W for about $100.

GB | 515nm Diodes - Payments Stage Starts at 10th July

if styro has it covered then don't worry about it. it's an option for the future though.

GB | 515nm Diodes - Payments Stage Starts at 10th July

If you guys need shipping help in the future I can help out. I'd just have the GB organizer send a list of the buyers to me, and then the buyers can go on my website and purchase a "shipping" option (essentially just to pay for US postage) Since I have all the postage material, as well as small...

1 watt green laser for sale

Is Doug Johnson a member here? The fact it's 5-mode has me assuming it uses the stock driver that comes with the flashlight. I've tested the drivers, and they do 1.7A on high with a 5v Load. I was going to offer them in kits but apparently there has been some strange diode deaths related to the...

    Purchased laser - confusing label?

Not much way of knowing what the output is without measuring it. and trying to guess the output of a DPSS 523nm by it's brightness can be deceiving because there is a lot of IR light coming out that you cant see if the pointer has no IR filter. Being that skin is not all that reflective...

    445 violet/blue laser question

none of the beams actually look rectangle. When focused, they're all round. I'm assuming they're referring to the raw output that comes from the diode. When shined on a wall it will be rectangular

making the new NUBM44 450nm diode handheld?

Building it yourself is the best part though!

    Purchasing Lasers or laser kits

Generally, you can build a laser for a lot less than it would cost to purchase a finished product. and by "build" I mean solder two wires. A simple 1W 445nm laser using a budgetbeams kit and DTR's 1.8W diode would cost you about $59 (plus cost of 2 batteries, a charger, shipping on the two...

making the new NUBM44 450nm diode handheld?

You could also use the SuperBoost driver set at 4.5A and power it with a single lithium battery ;)

    Feeler: 1.25A WF-501B laser kits for $20

I will be offering them with blitzbuck drivers soon, These are just a one time deal, to get rid of these boost drivers. That's also why they're only $20. I added 10 to the website for sale. I realized today I could just build all 10 dirver pills, and jsut pop them into whatever color host a...

Careful unscrewing the barrel from the head. The driver pill can spin on it's own from it, and you could end up with twisted wires.

    2w blue laser lens problem

You can try sticking a dry qtip on teh window and spinning it a bit to see if you get a clean output. I've done it before. I'm fairly sure these windows have an AR coating or something on them that seems to get messed up when you smear a qtip across them. You should never touch the diode window...

2nd build ever .. and i have failed.

Once you press the driver and brass ring into the driver pill it's not easy to take it out, you have to stick something into the small hole on top and force it out, which a lot of times will end up crushing some components on the driver. Silicone wire would of prevented this (unless it was...

    Feeler: 1.25A WF-501B laser kits for $20

It's actually a great deal. You cant even buy the bare parts this cheap, much less get it assembled :D Luckily, I can acquire parts cheaper than most and the drivers were written off a long time ago so I'm not factoring them into this.... I'll actually be using this money to fund me new...

According to the tracking, Trend should of gotten his prize today. Hopefully he can post pictures and such. I think it's his first high powered laser :D

Looking for a laser pointer with a 6'-8' cable and a pressure pad.

I'd say just build one. A pressure switch is essentially just a momentary switch inside some shrink tubing. You probably won't find a pressure switch that has 6-8 foot of wire so your only option is to make one yourself, or buy a pressure switch and add some more wire to it...

    Feeler: 1.25A WF-501B laser kits for $20

So, I happen to have a batch of 1.25A benboost drivers just sitting here. 17 to be exact. I'm seeing if there would be any interest in 1.25A 501B kits. It would include the host (your choice of color), the black.anodized aluminum heat sink, and a 1.25A benboost pre-installed in the brass driver...

Well, we had an explosion when the 445nm showed it's face. I keep hoping something else will happen to cause a giant influx of new people to the hobby. but with green diodes, what else could you want?
