Thanks guys! I'm pondering if I should crank up the current a bit to see how much more mW I could get, but then again I risk killing it. :undecided:

So here's a build I was working on and finished last week. This is actually a twin to my red Guidesman build that I had Jay machine heat sinks and focus adapters for. It' has a massive heat sink that keeps this laser pretty cool. It barely gets warm after a few minutes of on and off testing...

You could use diodes or power resistors to drop the voltage down. It would be place inline between the battery and driver. There have been people using these AMC7135 drivers to power triple XM-Ls with 3 batteries, so it should be fine.

I saw that a few days ago. Too bad you could only buy 3 per user. It was still a good deal!

Very nice pics! Are those Mueller copper alligator clips? If so good choice! I use those as well on my power supply.

Thanks n2stuff! Yes, they are since there are occasions that not all cells will have the same voltage when you charge them. They bleed out the extra voltage from the balancing leads. Edit: Nice job on yours as well! I was going to go that route, but since I had an extra charger I didn't use and...

I got tired of my 2 bay charger, tired of charging 1 battery at a time on my hobby charger, and didn't want to buy another separate charger for my many different batteries. So I thought, why not mod my old NiMH charger to charge more batteries on my hobby charger? I can now charge any size...

So I just finished changing the wires with some 20G. Doesn't really seem to affect the amps on turbo. I get about the same reading. It looks like those isolation rings fit perfectly against the reflector. So I'm thinking the placed the emitters on the head with the isolation rings and them...
