I forgot to point out that since the reflector is screwed into the pill/star it also acts as a heat sink, but it probably doesn't do it very efficiently. A custom job would really help the light a lot better!

Oh wow, 11.5A is a little too much for the diodes and resistor on the test load even with heat sinking. Sorry, but there isn't a way to test your laser diode on my test load. :( That's a pretty beefy laser diode, what's your application for it?
