Panasonic 3400mah 18650 Cell Now Available!

Jeremy; If the Ultrafire cell lasted 4 hours, the 3400mah Panny cell will easily last 6 hours, even though the output will be higher. Your cell shipped day after your order by 1st Class Mail. LarryDFW

Panasonic 3400mah 18650 Cell Now Available!

It's not Fasttech that is holding the cells up. Packages are being X-rayed . . . and anything that looks like a battery cell . . . is being changed to surface transportation (boat) by the originating post office. LarryDFW

Where can I get high-quality cells in Canada?

Stick to Panasonic, Sanyo, Samsung or LG cells. They have been tested to UL 1642 stringent safety standards, which include many different types of abuse. LarryDFW

WARNING- See if you will ever buy an Ultrafire after seeing this.....

Gordon; I have a quality two-cell "analysing charger" available for $36.95 . . . with shipping prepaid in continental U.S. It will test cell for actual capacity, and for internal resistance. 1st Red Link in signature. Larry

    Charger that Analyses Cell Quality

I tested a few cells with the analyser tonight . . . and I thought it was very accurate: The 1st cells I tested were new Pany 3400 cells. They tested at average of 45 milliohms. Next I tried some 1 year old Pany 3100 mah cells with ~100 charging cycles. They tested at average 100...

Is it SAFE to charge lipo cells on a nitecorei4

This is the spec you need to understand ; For a small lipo like yours, I would charge 2 at a time for 375 ma each. Or, you can just add a parallel connection, and charge from one slot LarryDFW

    Battery manufactures

Good Question, although it has been discussed at length. I have used several hundred Li-Ion cells in various applications . . . IMO the ONLY cells I would use are those with UL1642 testing . . . Those brands would be Panasonic, Sanyo, LG, Samsung, and some Sony. Other brand (xxxfire) cells I...

    Good bench supply?

I have used a Mastech, but this Extech is a much better supply: http://www.cobbcarpet.com/digsupply.jpg The 4 Digit readout allows plotting diodes with better precision. Here I am charging the newest lithium ion #18650's to 4.35 VDC in Constant Current mode. The 5 amp capacity allows charging...

    Quality #18650 Batteries & Charger

Added some Panasonic cells capable of 10 amp continuous output. These would be good for high current demand lasers & lights. Capacity is high @ 2900 mah for a power cell. LarryDFW

Panasonic 3400mah 18650 Cell Now Available!

Rifter has given a good explanation. The buttons I solder on, just allow contact between multiple cells or flat contacts on the laser/light. Some advantages my buttons have are : 1. Lower Contact Resistance for greater power 2. Less change in length for cell (~65.5mm) LarryDFW

    M140: Powering with USB?

It depends on the source of the USB power and the wiring. Most USB sources will sag ~ 1/2 volt under that load (several amps). My 445nm direct drive runs @ 4.4 VDC and only delivers 650 ma. A 0.22 ohm resistor would be a good idea, to test the current with. LarryDFW

    M140: Powering with USB?

TimTom; In spite of the comments, your diode can be hooked up directly to a USB voltage source. 1. You must have the diode in a good heat sink. 2. Then you must check the current when hooked up to your 5 VDC USB port (they will vary) If current is too high for the diode, then you will need a...
