6x SF-AW210 What mA for the red diode?

It is an open can......500mA??? wow thx!!

6x SF-AW210 What mA for the red diode?

Hi All, I'm giving the big gun lasers a rest today and decided to play with some low power diodes from my junk box. Mmmm, time to strip the SF-AW210 and remove the diodes. I've search LPF and there is much info on the 405nm laser from the SF-AW210. However, I'm trying to find out how much mA...

NDKTP Crystal for changing from 808nm(IR) to 535nm

I agree. $30 is way too high. You can rip them out of cheap green laser pointers. And then you get a 808nm diode too. The big question is are they optically bonded or glued? If they are optically bonded then it is a good price as 100+mw green would be achievable

    2+ watt 445nm for $210

There is almost zero from the beam that hits it @ 90 degrees, but the laser that goes straight through the cube loses a hundred or so mW. Guestimate

    2+ watt 445nm for $210

So if 1 watt wasn't enought I decided to built a 2+ watt 445nm. The end result was rather impressive. Especially at the price of $210. The only negative aspect being that each diode is @ 90 degrees of each other therefore the "beam" is a cross. It looks round when the beam hits the wall and in...

Anyone willing to build me a 445 if i pay for parts and shipping?

1w 445nm Laser: $45 Driver: $15 Lens: $10 Shipping: $10 Putting all the parts together and building yourself a laser....priceless

    Whats the wavelength?

Hi..I'm been watching this Scooter DVD and they most use this colour blue throughout the live show...does anyone know the wavelength of this blue...looks better than the now "common" 445nm. Personal preference of course:) Thanks!!

Series or Parallel for two diodes?

Ok, i"m a little embarrassed to ask this question cause I should know the answer. I did this as a subject in school...but that was a long time ago. Here it goes: I have a Flexmod N2 laser driver and I need to power 2 laser diodes simtaneously @ 1 amp each. The Flexmod is good for 6A and a 5A...

Laser diode thermal regulation / potting

I drilled a hole in a pentium III heatsink. Applied Artic Thermal Adhesive to the diode (messy job) and ran the diode @ 1.3 amps continuously for 3 days. No thermal issues

    SUPER visible beam.

First of all, you can never compete with the sun. It always win. Even the beam from 2 watts is hardly visible in sunlight. The night time is a different story. 100mw is clealy visible. 1 watt is SUPER bright. However, if you have no experience with lasers don't buy a class 4. It can be...

Wicked Lasers might sell a yellow laser soon!

Unless the yellow laser puts out 1 watt and costs $200 I'll stay clear...yellow is just one of those colours that has never appealed to me. Personal choice of course.

What current should I run my diode at?

If you read through the forums here it'll give you an indication of how well these diodes operate. The A140 works happily at 1A. I've run them continuously @ 1.3 amps for 3 days.

A140 48 hour burn in test

I turned the laser off this morning after about 84 hours. The last 36 hours the diode ran @ 1.4 amps. As you know I dont have a LPM so I guesstimated the output by "feeling" the heat on my hand. I'd be very surprised if the output did drop substantially because it still burnt the crap out of me...

    How tough are diodes?

It's a solid state device without mechanical parts. It'll be fine:)

A140 48 hour burn in test

It's now running @ 1.45A. I'll leave it again overnight. It's still soccer crazy here in SA so I'm off now for a braai and to watch the playoffs. Will give you so updated info in the morning on the diode. BTW, at 16 meters I could instantly feal the heat from the beam on the back of my hand...

A140 48 hour burn in test

I decide to sacrifice one of my A140 diodes. I needed to know if they cope when under continuous operation for an extended period at highish amps. I read many threads of guys keeping the duty cycle short, then letting it cool down before powering on again. The setup was simple. One diode glued...

Hi there. An update for you diode table. I have a A140 running @ 1.35Amps using a square heak sink and fins. Drilled a hole and glue the diode into it using Artic Thermal Adhesive. Glass lense from laser printer used. Ran it for an hour and half. Flexmod N2 driver. No problems at all...

A140 Arrived. 24 Watt outdoor pics

Just an update. I ran my A140 diode @ 1.3 Amps for 1.5 hours tonight. The diode was only slighty warm. That thermal adhesive seems to do the job well. I'm tempted to run it continuously the whole night.
