I used the diode as the test load :( Couldn't find my Laser diode test load the diode the driver sorry for the bad image quality.

Thanks, I already got plenty of green lasers like 70mW, I was thinking of building a 1-2W green, spotting my skywalker was just an excuse to be honest (shy face). I been looking for the crystals for a 1-2W green they are quiet expensive. A crystal for a 50mW green was $20! :O I sell 70mW greens...

It happened while I was testing it. So I had the diode inside copper module which was placed on my big chunky heatsink, and then I connected the driver wore to the 18650, after a few seconds it went dim! (5seconds or so). I will upload an image of my setup when I get home.

Hey folks, I got the inferno driver off eBay set it at 350mAh, on a 3.7v 18650, I hooked up a 300-500mW 635nm open canister diode, it was working ok and went really dim :(! did I kill the diode or is the driver playin wif me?

good question, but I don't think that there is a good or bad heat, if correctly built, a laser should only produce heat from diode or the driver. If its producing a lil too much heat or in shorter time. Than I would think the diode is being pushed! or the driver.

could some one please! share the link for some cheap square beam combiners, to combine green and red. (passes green reflects red) or a set of dichroic mirror for RGB lasers. Thanks :)
