I've heard of cells exploding. Thats what those protected batteries, well, protect against. Correct me if I'm wrong..Batteries aren't my area of expertise.

Not very...but you will see a faint beam. But, it will not be very bright. I think violet is the best color, though. I love that purple:D And flourescing things is quite fun too:)

You should save up and buy a quality laser. It's worth it. I know you want it rightrightnow, but it's definately worth the wait. You won't get anything impressive at $10.

Agreed with everyone else. Read. Trust me. It works. Haha^^ I lurked and read for about 3 months before I even joined, and another month before I attempted a build. There is an absolute goldmine of information here...and the search button is your gold pan:) That has to be the #1 thing people get...

You would. Just don't expect to be cutting things in half.^^ You can pop balloons, and light a match if you focus correctly. Black colored objects will smoke. Just not a ton of smoke.
