    Rayfoss 1000mw 650nm laser?

The 638nm would be much brighter but the divergence would be very bad would it not? I never actually had a 635-638nm but i hear the beam spreads out a LOT even over short distances, has to be a compromise between a really bright laser and a distance beast! I went onto Jetlasers but they are...

    Rayfoss 1000mw 650nm laser?

Right i understand, actually a better investment might be o-likes 500mw crown upgrade green laser, that must be incredible but theres just something about having a 1w red laser hmm. . tough decisions :can:

The BEST green laser for keeping its intensity over distance?

My house is situated out the country, about 5 miles away in one direction is a hill, so one day we decided to test out the lasers. We literally took turns driving over to the hill to shine back the lasers and compare brightness at that distance. Believe it or not the laser that came out on top...

How to Destroy a Planet with Lasers

The he gets far to much credit because he is just using his imagination :L sometimes i think Stephen Hawking's theories are as crazy.

How to Destroy a Planet with Lasers

I don't think a lot of his stuff is realistic, i have watched his documentaries and although they are fun to watch and interesting i don't think they're really the "future". Even if the principles behind his ideas were to be applied the inventions would probably be very different than his. His...

Amateur Astronomers Flash the Space Station with 1W Blue Laser

Can i ask please how is this possible when blue lasers have really bad divergence? You see i did an experiment a few months ago - a friend of mine drove over to a hill where there was a perfect view of my house (5-6 miles away straight) the experiment was to see which laser would be brightest at...

do you have pet names for your lasers?

Hell no :L i just call them by the names like my 200 red or 1000 blue but pet names would be kind of pathetic like haha

Can anyone review the Rayfoss 500mw 405nm at this link?

405nm 500mw Focusable Violet Laser Torch-FSS [RF405-500mW-FSS] - $158.00 : Rayfoss Lasers!, Rayfoss your trusable onlinestore Was considering buying this. Good divergence is most important with this particular buy and they say <1.5mrad which i think is pretty good, does anyone have anything bad...

Dude that's really unbelievable bad luck but hardly the intentions of Lazerer.com, the odds of it happening AGAIN would be like a million to one, try order again and get something off it.

Relative Brightness Calculator, beam vs dot brightness.

Excellent reply, after doing some study on that i found it very interesting! Everyone who has a good interest in lasers should look at that because it's pure brilliant!! So much info on different wavelengths and mW and how we see them etc.

Relative Brightness Calculator, beam vs dot brightness.

Can someone who's a bit more educated than me explain the following. This link is for the relative brightness calculator Beam: (547nm 1mw) vs. (458nm 1mw) You put in the wavelength and power and it compares them, it's really excellent but the only thing i'm wondering is how come the "dot" and...

    Lazerer 1w blue laser help?

Oh no they're not Li-ion batteries at all, i didn't take a photo but found a picture on google images of one - http://cdn102.iofferphoto.com/img/item/202/008/714/ankb.jpg Also google images for my charger - http://is03.thegumtree.com/image/big/108600783.jpg it's a universal charger so it...

    Lazerer 1w blue laser help?

Well the batteries that came with it were Ultrafire 3.6v 16340 880mAh and the charger seems to work ok with them, i ordered more of them batteries plus a charger on ebay just in case this method takes it's toll on them, ah no it's going good now so i don't mind.

    Lazerer 1w blue laser help?

Hey thanks for all the replies. I sorted the problem after. I found an old battery charger in a press in my house and i put both batteries into it for 5 minutes - it worked perfect! So i charged them for 2 hours and the laser worked 100%. Now the charger i got with it will not work...

    Lazerer 1w blue laser help?

I know i sound immature but i just want to make sure im doing it right. The laser came with 2 x 3.6v batteries and a charger. The charger is 3.6v so im not sure if i should only charge one at a time. When i put in one battery the light is red and for the other battery its green so one must be dead.

    Lazerer 1w blue laser help?

I just received my 1w blue laser from lazerer, i put the batteries in and it didn't work, because i also got a charger does this mean the batteries are probably dead? Would i have to charge the batteries overnight or could i chance charging them for a few minutes then test it? (sometimes this...
