    Need help identifying laser module

Things are just never simple, huh? What happens if I just power it on without polishing the fiber's end? Would the power just be reduced or would it reflect back and cause damage to the diode? How focus or big of the beam would be if it's not collimated? Would it still be able to burn like dpss...

I'm not sure if I understand your remark about 2v. Do lasers run at that low of a voltage or you are referring to the power supply's voltage? It's a 60V/35amp power supply. If this laser is similar to the one shown in the graph in my original post, it should only requires about 20amp at 100w...

I care otherwise I wouldn't be asking here in the first place. I thought about asking them before posting here too, but then said to myself I'm just an individual so they probably won't. But like you said it costs nothing so I just emailed them.

Thanks. Yeah, I guess I could email them and ask. Also for power supply that support external analog modulation for voltage/current, I'm wondering if it's possible to turn it into a QCW power supply using a function generator?

Thank you all for the info. So it looks like the thing should be able to run continuously at 100w if cooled properly I guess?

    Need help identifying laser module

Hi all, I'm new here and kind of new to diode laser in general even though I read quite a bit about ruby laser as a kid. My first exposure to laser if you can call it as such was a simple adjustable black tube containing a high lumen LED and lens to focus the LED that I mail ordered. I think...
