    Making better and more precise...

The topic is solved, but not my problem :) That's not solution for my problem, its a little hard because i'm using different voltages for each amp, so.. It is not a perfect circle haha.. I'm planing to do a simple lasershow with help of Adobe Audition or any other, so, i need to calibrate the...

    Making better and more precise...

Thanks for all your replies, but, anselm found my real problem :)

    Making better and more precise...

Because i don't have $80 :) NetGod3Com: I tried to get the circle with same frequencies but is a little hard to get it adjusting the rubber bands, so I will adjust a little the wave generator. Thanks!

Force hard drive actuator to stay in one position

Noo you don't understand mee :P I don't want to do the circle o center the actuator I'm actualling using ruber bands for centering it, but, as you can see in the video, i want to make random positions! What kind of signal or what i need for doing random positions? Not circles!

Force hard drive actuator to stay in one position

Eh? Can you explain better? :P

Force hard drive actuator to stay in one position

No, a spring forces the actuator to stay in just one position, but i want to make it to go for one to other position randomly, like the video...

    Making better and more precise...

Hi! I'm working with a cheap homemade laser projector that uses 2 hard disks actuators, works with sine waves and I am trying to make it so better and precise as I can.. I know i can't do much to make it precise because they are very open loop motors, but i'm trying to get the better results...

    Controlling actuator with parallel port

I don't have any circuit as parallel circuit... I just have an amp. and connected it to the parallel port as i explained... The software i'm using is a simple program i build in Visual Basic that allows to turn on/off each port

    Controlling actuator with parallel port

Hi! More experiments... I'm trying to control an actuator with the parallel port.. I know it's possible, but i have some troubles... When i connect for example the 2nd pin to the positive of an amp i made, the 25th pin to the negative and if i turn on the parallel port, the actuator vibrates and...

Force hard drive actuator to stay in one position

I am conscient that I using very open loop mechanism, so I dont want to control the position exactly because I dont want to do a precise lasershow (like drawing or so).. I want to make like random positions like here: YouTube - My homemade X/Y laser scanner Can I do it with only different kind...

Force hard drive actuator to stay in one position

Hi! I making my cheap lasershow with two hard drive actuators, but before mouting all, i need to know if I need modifications to do this: Well, I want to know if I can force the hard drive to stay in one position with help of audio signals.. Why this question? Because when i do for example a...

    Ideas for blanking

Hi! I have a improvised laser projector with DC motors controlled by PC signals.. I want to make it more atractive, so i was thinking in implementing a blanking system.. Of course i don't want to draw with the laser, just i want to make some nice effects with fog (dotted lines for example) Do...

    How to control bipolar stepper?

Ha, i want steppers and i can't get them but i don't have knowledges about this projects D: Good luck :)

    How to control bipolar stepper?

Thanks for the explanation :P I trying to controlling the 3-phase motor like a galvo and it is running nice, but i have some troubles.. When i try to make a signal in just one motor, both are moving o.O They are comparting the DC power source.... What i need to do? I think i need to force the...

    Heathcliff troubles

That's the problem.. Anyways, i found the solution; I need to press make soundwave file... And yes, the hard drives are able to make animations ;) Not perfect like a professional galvo, but they can do nice animations :) Thanks

    Heathcliff troubles

Yeah, hdd works fine with Heathclif.. The only problem I have are the animations..

    Heathcliff troubles

Hi! I'm trying to make a HDD laser (controlled by audio) but I having troubles with the software i'm using: Heathcliff.. Whats the problem? I can't make or play an animation with frames... If i click on preview I can see the animation, but the hard drives doesn't makes it... When i saw the...

    How to control bipolar stepper?

But i don't want it to spin, i want it to move a little and return to the position at the music rythm

    How to control bipolar stepper?

Dude, i know what is a stepper motor :P Ok, forget everything... I just have a stepper motor, but, the config I mentioned is correct with a stepper?

    How to control bipolar stepper?

Why does not sound like stepper motor? And the voice coil is the one that controls the hard drive arm.
