    UK CUSTOMERS + NOVAlasers QUERY

ok, I can't say for sure, but my guess is that the TNT shipment WILL require a sig. for 2 reasons: 1. It's TNT and most couriers track and 2. it cost $40, and is likely to have insurance, and they'd need to track where it went in the event of a claim. With regards to the 'laser writing' its not...

    Red & Green Scanner

The maplin spray stuff if quite good for a little bit of messing around. I tend to use a few quick sprays here and there and I can use my DX30mW like a itsy-bitsy light sabre, but even though the beam is more visible, you can't really see the smoke.??? :-/ But like SenKat said, it doesn't stay...

    Which Colour Would I Get?

The diagram you posted before explains your own question. Look at the dichro no. 2 above the red laser. In that particular setup, the dichro is passing the green light through and reflecting the red light at 45 deg. And if you swapped the red and green lasers around, you would need a...

New 337nm Laser Diodes Being Designed

Hi, I just thought I'd share this with you all: I was reading the latest edition of "The Engineer" (UK Science Periodical) and there was an article about a new type of UV laser diodes being designed. Supposedly the "shortest wavelength ever made by a diode" or something. Anyway, I scanned in...

Feeler Guage: Aixis Lens Adjusters *New Style*

Well, the designs have been finalised, and all I need to do is order some plastic and get cutting. However I need to finalise the design of another (non-laser) project which I need some similar plastic for. But the postage prices are high per order, so I'm going to order combine both together...

Hex DIY Red Laser - The ULTIMATE burner idea! :-)

Re: Hex DIY Red Laser - The ULTIMATE burner idea! Paul, that idea is a work in progress, and about 3 hours old! I thought of putting a convex lens to straighten the beams up, or place a collimating lens instead. Yey - or neigh? :-?

PLEASE let me know your thoughts on any of these ideas, criticisms + suggestions etc. (As I've only thought them up - so theoretical!) 1.) Mechanical Focus of Individual...
