Selling my JL ole pro mini 300 mw greenSOLD:)

May I ask why you are selling at less than half the original price? Is it an old unit or has it been used a lot? Sorry for sounding sceptical, it's just such a great price I find it a bit hard to believe 😅

    Sci-Fi Lasers 501B 445nm 2-2.4W

Unfortunately I don't live in the states so shipping would cost me a lot. Guess I'll keep nagging at him and send some more emails :D

    Sci-Fi Lasers 501B 445nm 2-2.4W

So I've been waiting to receive that extra lens for quite a while now, I'm not sure if it's still coming. I've contacted Eitan about it, as well as about the discount he promised for posting this review (haven't got that either). I'm still happy with the laser, but I'm confused why Eitan is...

    Sci-Fi Lasers 501B 445nm 2-2.4W

3 watt? I didn't know SciFi made those, can't find them on the site either  edit: never mind, you mean the DIY kit But to answer your question, the 501b model will fit and work with both 16340 and 18350 batteries, I'm using a pair of AW 18350. AW is widely regarded as one of the best...

    Hey

Hi everyone, I kind of made a false start by posting a review before introducing myself but here I am :p My inventory so far is a cheapo <50mW 532nm pen pointer and a SciFi 501b 445nm 2.4W. (+safety goggles) I'm looking to either buy or build a greenie (520 or 532nm) in the 200-300mW range. I'm...

    Sci-Fi Lasers 501B 445nm 2-2.4W

Thanks for the info Bowtie and QSS. 30% is quite a difference! Eitan has already replied that he will send me the other lens, can't wait to try it  Oh, and I get to keep the 3 element lens as well so I can switch whenever I like :)

    Sci-Fi Lasers 501B 445nm 2-2.4W

@GSS That might explain the difference in color, I didn't know diodes could change wavelength if they are pushed harder. And I'm starting to wonder about how much difference in burning power there is between the G2 and 3 element lenses, so I'm gonna ask Eitan if he can send me a G2 (because...

    Sci-Fi Lasers 501B 445nm 2-2.4W

From the pictures on DTR's site this indeed looks like a 3 element lens. I'm happy with it either way :D To me the beam looks as blue as in the pictures, not a hint of violet, but I think we all perceive color a little differently.

    Sci-Fi Lasers 501B 445nm 2-2.4W

Hi GSS, The color of the lens case looks dark brown, like oxidized brass. Maybe you can tell what kind of lens this is from the pictures. To me it looks like there are 2 elements, but there might be a third in between them, I'm not sure.

    Sci-Fi Lasers 501B 445nm 2-2.4W

Hey, thanks for the rep! And for warning me about the teflon tape, I wouldn't want to burn my brand new laser  so I've made a spring out of a paperclip as a more permanent solution: If I decide to dig any deeper into this hobby I'll be sure to introduce myself properly ;)

    Sci-Fi Lasers 501B 445nm 2-2.4W

About a week ago I received my laser from sflasers.com. All I ever had before was a <50mW green pen pointer, which was way cool in high-school, but doesn't even get close to this :D It's a 445nm blue laser that outputs somewhere between 2 and 2.4 watts, in a black 501B host with an aluminum...
