I found this diode on ebay, the title says: "2000mw 808nm laser diode C-mount with fast Axis Lens"...but there is only some c-mount diode on the picture...does anyone know what is the "fast Axis Lens" (I think it is supposed to be Aixiz)?? Also, operating current and voltage are 2.2V and...

The voltage should be around 3V. To measure a current, make a dummy diode and measure the voltage in mV. You can make a dummy diode by connecting 4 1N4007 diodes and a 1 Ohm resistor in a series. Measure a voltage across the resistor. 1mV = 1mA.

I have read that it can burn DVDs, and it only has problems with burning dual layer DVDs.

How big heatsink does it need for this power? And what kind of driver? I use driver with LM317T like this for my lasers:

Hi, is there a schematic of pulsed driver for LPC-815 laser diodes? I have read that pulsed lasers are more powerful, but I don't know how to make such a driver. How long have to be these pulses and how long time have to be between them ? Sorry if you don't understand me :)
