Last Eghemus host with 505nm DTR laser module

Probably not quite! unless you've changed your account. But a long time nevertheless. Hope you get the host sold 😀

A kid point a green laser in my eye

Guys, I'm surprised no one has mentioned - this is a 532 not a 520. It HAS way more than 5mw NO MATTER WHAT. Its a DPSS not a diode, probably 50-100mw minimum and unless it has a very good filter, which is very very unlikely, a good portion of that will be pouring out the front of the laser...

Building a orange (613nm) Laser from scratch with off-the-shelf parts (and for cheap!)

Very cool that you can do this, but too rich for my blood. Sorry. I love what you have been able to do with this though. Its incredible you can cool these to that extent. Shifting 20+ nm in wavelength and keeping the temperature there is remarkable. I recall seeing this done with liquid...

    The spam

thanks for hard work and upkeep, I'm sure it takes a lot to keep up. I've only eceived one. Not the kind of thing you want to get on here. thank you!!!

    Has anyone tried this laser

I had seen the modules on here - on and off, but didn't realize they had a pointer, too bad about shipping. Maybe when they sort out the battery issues it will be better. 589nm would be much more to my liking though!!! Module or pointer in that price range and I'd be on it. :)

    Has anyone tried this laser

Alibaba has a handheld lasence yellow-green pointer for $90. I don't know enough about Alibaba to venture trusting them, as I've only ordered from them once, but I've seen the modules on here. It appear they now have a handheld - video is also on the link. Looks very low power but definitely...

Does the original source of the laser matters?

Simple examples. Take a green laser and a red laser and point it at your skin (if you are stupid). you will feel the effect of a green at a much lower mw than the red. Its not necessarily the wavelength being longer or shorter. I have seen a 405nm laser smoke things with low mw rating because...

    Hologram Laser Questions

I bought a new green HeNe from them a few years ago, super price at the time and I still have one of their original brass mounts that are for 5.6 or 9 mm diodes, believe it or not  Reputable source!

First build, assembled, not turning on

awesome - post a picture of completed laser when you can. Nice to see it seems to be working properly :)

Hello all! New here, Just got around to an intro..

If you are into GITD laser stuff, check out dkumpula on PL He has several GITD projectors and always has a very cool display at SELEM. The Projectors run at a very slow scan rate and may take 5 - 10 min to draw the image on the GITD background but with the strontium paint it will glow for quite...

Building a orange (613nm) Laser from scratch with off-the-shelf parts (and for cheap!)

You are absolutely right and If price isn't too high I'm interested also. You can't get it new - especially a tunable one. But, I bought my last couple of yellow HeNe lasers for about $100 each with driver and my orange was about $500, only they are less then 5mw. I think its a great project...

Does anyone know if this is worth it? eBay 1w green laser

https://docs.lambdawave.eu/tools/relative_brightness_calculator.html this will give you a pretty accurate answer. So about twice as bright. - I hope you are wearing goggles for these as they will literally, light up a room and without goggles are very dangerous. I have a 1 watt green I...
