    You never know whats inside

If you rub the thermal epoxy with your soldering iron it will make it easier to get it off. epoxy gets soft and rubbery when hot. That sure is an ugly build though :/ I can't believe it worked.

Companies with free international (European) shipping

The problem is that USPS will literally charge us $12 to send a 2oz (56g) package internationally. The shipping charge on my site is a real time rate that's pulled directly from USPS website based on the combined weight of the items in the shopping cart.

Review: JAD kit from Budget Beams

Well, probably around $16.99. I didn't get enough to get a bulk discount, so you could definitely buy them cheaper from chinese stores. But, they'll be here in case someone wants it now instead of 2-3 weeks.. Eventually I want to carry in bulk the popular ones, and then i'll do 5 or 10 pieces...

Let me know what you guys decide. If they get sent to me, I'd probably have joker include a list of what goes to who,and then people who have a package coming to them will go onto my website and buy a "group buy" item for $0.00 and checkout so you can pay for the shipping, and give me your...

    Feeler: Silicone Wire

I ended up coming to blows with the US manufacturer, who wanted to charge me more than he use to, and refused to even match the price of my last order. He became angry and offended when I quoted the chinese manufacturer's price. I told him i'd be willing to pay more to have it made in the US...

Review: JAD kit from Budget Beams

I will probably pick some up with my next order of flashlights, at least enough to make use of the heat sinks I have for it. That driver pill is the standard brass pill that normally has the large outer spring on it. That big spring gets in the way with these builds. I just take the brass...

520nm HD 250mA Defiant (extended copper sink)

Kinda makes me want to buy a new controller board and get my lathe running again :D Is that the harbor freight 7x10? I went through a few hi/lo plastic gears before I bought metal replacements for it.

Being that it was a year ago, it's pointless now.

Attemped my first laser build last night...and failed...

I think i went through 3 or 4 diodes before I got one to run correctly. They were 16x diodes... It's very frustrating when things don't work out. I almost gave up all together. Back then I didn't make a whole lot of money and every time I killed a diode it cost me about $20.
