Yeah we got 220v in Italy and so it's wrote on the solderer... btw the diode was hot, also the plastic part was hot. I don't know now, it seems broken, when I shake it there something loose in it, I'll try to dismantle it and see what's wrong..

ok, i think that's unusual, I plugged it again and another sparks came out... is it normal? Here a photo, I'm really sorry for the quality but I'm using the cellphone. The soldere turned all brown and tarnished like it was burned.

well, soldering is pretty hard, the solder melts but the diodes ends doesnt keep the blob, it solidify on its own, also I got a spark from the solderer basis, don't know if it's broken or it'll explode or else

So I have to apply the solderer tipo dirctly on the diode? I thought to use the solder blob metod.

    I don't know, maybe it's 30W, don't know how to understand it.

Ok I got a new solderer, it days 30W on the blister and there's a sticker with 60W on the solderer ((this one), now I'm going to build the test load.

crap... look like my solder is broken, every time I plug it in a socket it switch off the main electricity... seem I have to buy a new one :(

    Stripping a benq dw1620

Ok, I've got my solder, here's a pic: I'll begin building the test load.

    Stripping a benq dw1620

Don't have it, I'll try with the solder blob being really careful, If I won't be able to do it I'll buy it.

Is applying the grease really really important?
  16. Userro

    Stripping a benq dw1620

I don't think it will ever come out, it's too deep inside to pick it with pliers
  17. Userro

    Stripping a benq dw1620

I've applied nothing, do I have to spread the grease on the sides? Don't know how I'll manage to pull it out now btw.
  18. Userro

    Stripping a benq dw1620

Ok, I inserted the diode, the back is a mess, I'll have to remove the solder left and straighten the pins.

    Stripping a benq dw1620

Oh, good to know, I have a lot to learn :)

    Stripping a benq dw1620

Oh, ok, I see it, I just don't understand what the point of the spring between the lens and the diode then...
