    Beam expander with >1w 445nm?

It does have it's own focus, but I don't know if it would have enough range to compensate for a focused beam in order to focus it back to infinity. I haven't used a M140 diode before, I was not aware that they were 4mm on the long axis. This measurement is at the lens? Even so, I suppose It...

    Beam expander with >1w 445nm?

I am in the process of putting together a laser which will be include an M140 diode driven by a Mohgasm 1.62mA driver. I already have this Melles Griot 10x beam expander: LBM Precision Laser Beam Expanders I would love to integrate this into this laser, but I can't find any information about...

    500mw Green Laser for sale

Wow, I'm jumping all over this one! I assume a direct wire transfer would be OK?

    Driver current: suggestions?

Is it a bad idea to drive an unknown diode at 1.8A? If I end up with a "less efficient" diode, will it overheat/self destruct with that input? Should I aim slightly more conservatively? Obviously, I want power (don't we all), but it's not my number one concern.

Re: FS: ~100mw 405nm Build - $20 Interesting looking gadget! Does it work? I'll take it for $20 if I see a picture of it running.

FNG, Greenie, Boot, Newbie... They are all synonymous, haha.

    Another FNG

Haha, well it stands for F***ing New Guy. It originates from the term used to describe new members of a military unit. In WWII (maybe earlier, but that's the earliest I have heard a reference to it), all new members of a squad were referred to as FNGs. Being an ex Marine, I can say that the...

    Another FNG

I am new to the site, but I have been poking around and reading for a couple of days. I have to say I LOVE the way you (as a group) approach the topic of lasers! Always professional, technically proficient, and very safety oriented! During some random internet searches, I ran across a "labbie"...
