Hmm .. the same thing happened to my O-like 400mw violet. On the day I received it, it changed from amazingly powerful to a 5mw pointer. I will be hoping to get a replacement for it.

Well, chances are your laser is not actually outputting 50mw of 532nm light, and therefore can not pop the balloon. This is probably because you bought it from a cheap website.

Yeah, I've read your review. I wouldn't mind a 200mw laser, as long as the divergence isn't that bad, and it's pretty stable. I think you understand exactly what I'm looking for. But I guess I'll just have to wait. I would still appreciate suggestions. =)
