    Radioshack Green Laser Danger?

Good advice. I actually got it about two weeks ago and I already learned how to handle it safely and responsibly, I'm just a paranoid freak ( :D) when it comes to the possibilty of losing my very good vision. I just really wanted to know about the time it would take to damage my eyes if it was...

"HELP" - Need 150mw LENS REPLACEMENT!

I hope you find a good replacement! :) Dang, that's a nice case! I wish my awesome RadioShack Green had a case like that. A nice flip open case where you can store batteries in like that. But meh, I guess it's what you keep inside the case is what counts! :D

    Radioshack Green Laser Danger?

There's a total diffrence ;D! You can't blow some one away with a 5mW laser, nor could you with a 500mW laser :D! I agree with Humansyphony. And what happened to talking about the safty of my laser :-?? I go to the fourms and see that's there's 24 posts, and I'm like,"Wow! There must be a lot...

A long title that offers no info about this post

Re:  A long title that offers no info about t I don't know. It could be a scam. If all that stuff it says is true, it's a nice laser. But for 80 bucks plus shipping, that's expensive. My radioshack green (50$) is 5mW, it works great, has an IR filter, and people will still say it's too...

    DX Laser - Problem -.-

Return it and then go buy something from either novalasers or glowlasers. They're lasers are more reliable and they have good customer service.

    New member with a question.

Good company choice and very smart idea buying goggles :)! Maybe in the meantime you can buy a 5mW green to have fun with while the NOVA ships and you could learn how to handle a laser.

    Radioshack Batteries vs. Durcell/Energizer

I think i'll just buy a 40 pack of Radioshack batteries for 20$. That's 50 cents a battery, not bad.

    Nova X series 15Mw

Why the he** would you try to blind a QB! >:( It's idiots like you that make countries ban lasers! Just ask Australia and the UK!

    Radioshack Batteries vs. Durcell/Energizer

I use the Radioshack Alkaline batteries for my 5mW, and they last a long time. Even when their is barely anything left in them, my Radioshack Lasers are still just a bright as if they had new batteries. Would Durcell/Energizer last longer or make it brighter? Also, does D/E work depending on how...

    RadioShack Green Laser

After some reasearch I think it does have an IR filter. EDIT: And apparently idiots wanting to pop ballons (I don't see why they can't just use a little pin) remove it.

    Radioshack Green Laser Danger?

Also, how much gets relected through glass. I shined into one of my numerous fish tanks the other day (carefully avoiding the fish) and I got the best of me (reflected in my eye) for under a second. It stppped feeling weird after a few mins, and I haven't noticed any vision loss.

    Radioshack Green Laser Danger?

Thanks for the info! I always thought that the goggles only kept the laser from getting in your eyes and made you see the world in a diffrent color. Also, how much of the laser would get in my eye from reflections from floors/walls and glass?

    Radioshack Green Laser Danger?

I was wondering how bad a Radioshack Green Laser (532nm, i've heard it's 3-7mW) can do to my eyes in less than a second, and a few seconds. Also what can it do to my eye if it shines off a floor/table or glass for less than a second, and a few seconds. Also, when damage happens, do you get a...

Consumer Alert - 5mw green may really be 50mW

Lol, I was worried that my Radioshack Green Laser was under 5mW, now I'm worried that it's over 5mW.

    RadioShack Green Laser

There is a slight diffrence. The rubbery stuff is on the opposite side, as well as the safety label, which I removed (not that I'm against using . Do most of you remove the safety labels on small low-powered lasers? And the price diffrence, meh. It's too late now, and I like having the rubber...

    RadioShack Green Laser

Also, does the Radioshack Green have an IR filter? Can some one give me a good explanation of what that does?

    RadioShack Green Laser

Seriously, 3-7? That makes me happy ;D. The one you described is the kind I have. Are you sure 3-7 mW is accurate?

    RadioShack Green Laser

New_Reverie: Yeah, that's the pic alright. That's a pretty good photoshop job though. They put in a reflection on the table. I just couldn't see how a 5mW woul be that bright. Chopper: I would agree that it is definitly better than some other green lasers that you would find at some stores. The...

    RadioShack Green Laser

Hi, this is my first post here and I am new to the hobby ;D. Two Saturdays ago I purhased a red >5mW laser from Radioshack. I loved this laser and was immediatly pulled into the laser hobby. Then the following Wednesday I purchased the Radioshack green laser for 42$ (the price is actually fifty...
