    Laser Eye Damage

The only lasers I've ever handled were all 5mW, but recently I think my vision has been damaged. About 3 weeks ago I got my Lyra-G5 which always put out about 5mW, and I accidentally got it in my eyes a few times, but didn't notice any damage. But then, last week I noticed while laying down...

Any recommendation around the use of 300mW+ laser

Re: Any recommendation around the use of 300mW+ la Hey, it's not illegal unless you get caught, so don't worry! JK I think you'll be fine, just only point it at the sky and just turn it off if planes come around so they won't worry.

    X-25+ Diffraction Gratings Review

Are you sure your homemade goggles block 532nm light? Otherwise, great review.

    It's the DX 30mW again

Are you using safety goggles with it? It seems like if you screw around with that you'll get a blind spot. Did you get it straight from DX or do you not live in the U.S.? (I ask because they won't sell U.S people >5mW)

Laser + Airplane = 3 years in prison

Well you're right, but remember bearing arms is one of the first 10 amendments of the U.S constitution, and you can't screw around with the first ten. I think he should have ten years, because a few years after he gets outta jail it will be like nothing ever happened. He's lucky no one sued...

FS: LaserGlow Galileo Green Laser SOLD!

Re: FS: LaserGlow Galileo Green Laser This is an awesome deal for some one, it's cheaper than any Lyra 5. I would get it, but I have a G-5 (which is a lemon that is going to get replaced for a new one).

    Considering a Lyra

I got mine but I have to get it replaced because their was dirt on the back of the lens right out of the box (find my review in the review section for more info. On the white box it says under 5mW and over 4.5mW although I emailed Laserglow once and they said it can peak around 6mW, they...

Lyra-G5 - good but a few problems PICTURES ADDED

Re: Lyra-G5 - good but a few problems It's dirty, not scratched. It's dirty on the back of the lens, and was like that when I've got it. I got a lemon. I've thrown everything I have at it (not literally lol), Q-tips, Q-tips with water, Q-tips with window cleaner, Q-tips with rubbing alcohol...

    Reccomended Lyra Model

According to Laserglow, besides the F, they're all the same except looks. I eamailed them and asked awhile ago.

X100-goggles, case, and lens holder added

I know this post is old, but sorry you got some lemons (even if it it isn't mode hopping, that AVG is very low compared to many x100's). I got a lemon Lyra-G. It was mode hopping to TEM01 (although it stopped now) and there was dirty or whatever BEHIND the lens. Laserglow is going to help me...

    SkyLaser 100mW Red & 200mW Green

Nice review. On the pic where you showed the red pointers you used, the second one from the left, I have the same cheapo red (with the blue L.E.D and the ballpoint pen. My uncle knew I was obbsessed with lasers so he got me it for Christmas as a little extra gift (as a bonus).

Lyra-G5 - good but a few problems PICTURES ADDED

Re: Lyra-G5 - good but a few problems PICTURES ADD As I mentioned, the lens was dirty when I received it and just got a little worse, it is dirty on the back of the lens (according to Laserglow, and plus when I try to clean it I just have the same exact result), and it is not mode hopping anymore.

Lyra-G5 - good but a few problems PICTURES ADDED

Re: Lyra-G5 - good but a few problems How many hours does it take? Does it need to be upright so it can evaperate properly?

Lyra-G5 - good but a few problems PICTURES ADDED

Re: Lyra-G5 - good but a few problems I already saw that pic. I KNOW it was mode hopping. I had it turned on and it changed in seconds, and when I turned it off and on, it took another few seconds to get back to TEM 01. It's not problem anymore though, the laser was the same temperature as...

Lyra-G5 - good but a few problems PICTURES ADDED

Re: Lyra-G5 - good but a few problems I'm positive it was a mode hop. I could even see two beams. It only hoped around the first half hour It's freezing out so maybe it was because it had to ajust from 30 degrees from 70 degreees (Farenheight). Will the rubbing ahcohol clean up the "fuzzy" or...

Lyra-G5 - good but a few problems PICTURES ADDED

I got my Lyra-G5 today from Laserglow. I PAID 10$ for 6-12 buisness day shipping and it took 16 buisness days, 3 1/2 weeks in regular days.  The packaging was good though. I opened it up, poped the batteries it came with in it, and turned it on. There was dust on the lens, and within seconds, it...
