    thanks, ok, ir filter will not save my sight. maybe people think that way because they were not born knowing how much safety i will gain with a ir filtered laser?

    this isn't clear for me. if i buy a laser with ir filter, will i need to buy a pair of goggles or not? hoy much % of risk or damage is reduced by an IR filter? i want to buy a new laser (i have newish 15mw) but i'm scared of damage my vision by accident.

    i readed somewhere in this forum that for far-distance pointing, a non-focusable laser is better. is this true? will i able to light matches with a 200mw green non-focusable? non focusable is $125 and focusable is $150, does it worth it?

    ok but, even if this is true fact, isn't supposed that o-like test the lasers before shipping them?? they will guarentee less power if i choose waterproof version? they won't compensate the loss in waterproof lens adding a bit powerfull diode??. there are really more chance to get lower mw...
