actually, for your build I'd recommend using a Flex Drive. because 1 AAA is around 1.2-1.4 Volts. 3x 1.3 is 3.9 which is in the range for a Flex not a rkcstr. Also according to m f o flex's lasts longer then rkcstrs.

Dont even bother with this guy. He just sells PHR-803T's just buy the diodes in the sled or from Daguin for like 10 bucks each. or 15 if you want it housed. PHR's are about 100 mws when powered up to 100mA's which you can burn some stuff with... if you want to get the popular 6x blu-ray laser...

Well I have Rechargeable AA's but i guess RCR's would do better from how your giving the price range.

I'm planning to build a laser with a MXDL 5W Lumileds CR123A 6V Flashlight... However I noticed that the flashlight doesn't use AA or AAA batteries. I looked up the price for the RCR123A batteries and they are pretty pricey. Would there be away to modify the flashlight so it will use AA batteries?
