Just priced the design on eMachineShop. It's actually not totally horrible to do a small run of 20 pcs. For 20 of the housings, and 40 of the little dichro holders, would be around $900. That would produce 20 complete sets, implying about $45 a set. Not bad - better than the ~$100 for those white fushion kits. Though it might still be tough to find 20 people interested.

Hey, no I haven't. In fact, I've just traded Awlego a 635-645nm diode for one of his RGB drivers, so my interest has been largely renewed.

The hurdle we'd need to cross is that the QTY required by someone like eMachineShop is literally like 100+ units before it becomes economical. So in reality, we'd need a smaller CNC shop, or someone willing to give us a break on costs. Or, perhaps, just a smaller group of 20 or so people willing to pay a bit higher price for the housing.

I owe you an apology because you lied about being the one who had worked to get the info about Slipstream? If you had just let TJ do it from the start, there would have been no nay-saying and no doubt about who it was. TJ actually had evidence which meant something. You chose to start a thread and attempt to take the honour for some very thin evidence, rather than let the person who found the evidence present it all at the same time.
