Hello everyone, and here is my another laser build. In this project, I used a Nichia NUBM0G laser diode with a wavelength of ~470 nm. It works with a 5A boost driver, with single 21700 battery, so the output power should be about 7+ watts. The wavelength of this laser is one of my favorites, 470 nm is a very beautiful wavelength, it looks sky blue and much lighter than the usual 445-450 nm. The divergence of this diode is quite significant, so I use G8 glass lenses. The power and brightness of this thing is insane, it's not darker than my NUGM04T, but much powerful. Really nice build! Any chance for some outdoor beam shots? What's the divergence like with the g8 lens?

I found them on another site. There are 17mm and 22mm. I guess they are the same
Yes, it looks pretty similar, but I used the Convoy driver (3A 6V) with one of my previous builds (NUBM07), and my diode died after a month of rare use. To be honest, I do not know why, because the current was safe, and the heatsink was also good. So now I don't use the Convoy drivers in my builds. My friend also has problems using Convoy drivers with LDs. But the problems were with the 3A 6V drivers, maybe other ones will be better.

I have several blue lasers over 7W with a P4000 driver, which works with two batteries, however. There is no problem with them. And I modify these myself by changing resistors. They have a smooth start. The bad thing is that you have to put them between the radiator.
