i figured as much. i was going for a 200 mW red burner to try it out before trying to build one (for reference burning) any idea of the difference between the diodes in the DX 200 mW red and the sony 16x dvd burner they sell at stonetech?

anyone have a link to which federal law "posession of a 5<mW laser" is a felloney? (for the usa anyway)
