    Nichia 1W @ 525nm

Because this is the exciting news that hasn't been followed up. I felt so bored about laser newbies asking some 5mW 532nm laser ... With this Nichia achievement, finally it may be practical for projector use... hence we may have a chance to get a 1W+ direct green laser cheap. I have been...

    Nichia 1W @ 525nm

This is so exciting. The DPSS may just disappear to the oblivion, similar to the CD-ROM. I love my Osram 520nm @70mW, but definitely will love this much more.

Nichia 515nm 25mW Laser Diode Specs - Now Published

I am actually surprised by spec being such low power. Wasn't there information floating around that the green diode is 50mW+? As for the 5.6mm package, I guess it's because they bundled the photodiode inside, instead of the early ones of 3.8mm.

I am interested in getting two of the 445nm laser diodes. How can I buy?

Which goggles for 660, 532 and 445 nm?

If there is one, then it's black, or a very dark sunglass.

Problems with diode, What i did wrong?

It is possible. The incandescence bulb has the notorious characteristic that its resistance changes with temperature. When it was off, it has very low resistance, when it is lit, the temperature is 3000C, and resistance becomes the nominal value (as calculated from nominal power spec). To...

Problems with diode, What i did wrong?

Most likely you diode was killed by transient current.

    hello

I am EE major with some optics background. I have made a white light sources with dichroics, but the problem is how to miniaturize it :-(

Is it possible to couple the Casio 445nm laser into optical fiber

Thank for the picture from oic. Usually the oligo-mode (not sure how to say the multimode that only has a few modes in it, rather than the more usual multimode that has thousands of modes) laser have some interference pattern that forming lobes, but this kind of symmetrical lobes are unusual...

Cheap way to combine two red beams?

Your two red beams must be somewhat different. You can't combine two beams that have same wavelength, polarization, into one beams that has the same size. If your two red beams are slightly different at wavelength (such as 635 nm vs 650 nm), you may can use a sharp-cutoff dicrhoic mirror or a...

Is it possible to couple the Casio 445nm laser into optical fiber

Thank you. I have corning SMF 28 single mode fiber. The core size is about 10 um. I found if I use the large core fiber (such as the 62.5um fiber), the output beam is difficult to collimate. I was confused by the "rectangular" beam. The 405 nm laser emits "elliptical" beams, and I can...

Is it possible to couple the Casio 445nm laser into optical fiber

I have a more ambitious project. I wish to couple the lasers into a single mode fiber and then can pass the light through the corners or under the doors or just for all the other fun of it. I have successfully coupled about 50mW of the 405nm blue laser to the Corning SMF 28 fiber, and am...

    hello

this forum is wonderful. I wish to build my white laser pointers! :na:
