Alright so I hooked the negative to the spring and the positive to the brass bit, I turned the laser on using the switch and I got about 1 second of light and it turned off, I tried a few more times and that kept happening, now what? Please help :(

Thank you, I've found two wires which give 3.41 volts I tested it with a multimeter, do you think that it will run fine with 3.41 as it requires 2 AAA battdrys which are 1.5volts each which means there 3v or should I buy a resistor?
