These goggles look good but their website is not trustworthy. Some pages doesn't work and I think that company may stop functioning. Anyone has bought goggles from them recently? Because only opinions I found are pretty old.

It may increase lifetime a lot as it depends mostly on temperature. Usually lower temperature = higher efficiency too. However, don't run TEC at it's max current. You need to measure diode temperature and set peltier's current to keep it around 15-20 C. Lower temperature might be even better but...

You should try using conductive glue. No risk here, If it doesn't work then try soldering.

I left lens in bag with rice for all night. In the morning it was completely dry! Still hate optics anyway. Everytime I touch anything releated to them it gets dirty or broken :P

I was doing some close burning with my 445 when I realized thet the lens got dirty (probably from smoke). I tried to clean it, unfortunelly, some cleaning fluid got inside it. :yabbem: What do you think? Should I left it and let it dry, dissasemble it and try to clean or just throw it away and...

It's designed like that to fit and heatsink big drivers (stcs2 in my case) without any coins or moon-shaped heatsinks. If you don't need it you can just skip this part. It's also kept in place by bezel not head like other heatsinks here because of oring that makes it waterproof.

I designed this heatsink for my last build, 445nm Solarforce L2X. It works great, fits tight and was cheap. I'm not an engineer but man who machined it had no problems with my design. I thought someone will make use of drawing and machine own heatsink. So here you are

I bought it from 0th3r at allegro.pl. This site is like ebay, but there are only polish sellers. The laser you linked looks the same as mine.
